Over a decade of successful software experience, including over seven years of quality assurance (QA) engineering. Superb written, oral and interpersonal skills. Extensive experience in a wide variety of technical and communication skills, including:
- Design, management and implementation of QA procedures at many levels: smoketests (sanity, acceptance), functional tests (unit, integration), verification tests (regression), boundary tests (edge cases), ad hoc testing.
- Detailed bug reports and queries in various reporting systems: Bugzilla, Scopus, ddts, Vantive.
- Thriving interaction with a diverse group of people (QA engineers, developers, UI designers, marketing) in order to resolve product issues.
- Experience with XHTML, HTML and CSS.
- Familiarity with Section 508 standards and Web Accessibility Initiative guidelines. Experience with assistive technologies: keyboard navigation, screen readers (VoiceOver, JAWS), speech recognition (iListen), screen magnification.

Mozilla Foundation, Mountain View, CA
Software QA Engineer, 2004 – 2005
Contributed to the successful 1.0, 1.0.x and 1.5 releases of the ground-breaking Internet applications, Firefox (web browser) and Thunderbird (e-mail client).
- Developed, executed and evaluated functional test suites for Firefox, Thunderbird and Seamonkey in Testrunner. These now serve as the basis of the test cases in Litmus, Mozilla’s new test database.
- Daily bug scrubbing, verification and interaction with the worldwide Mozilla community. For example, delivery of more than 30 localized builds (l10n) on three operating systems for both Firefox and Thunderbird.
- Evaulated and developed preliminary automated tests for Firefox using Eggplant’s VNC-based tools.
- Established the Mozilla Quality Assurance wiki, which described our projects and the tools we used.
Netscape Communications Corporation / America Online, Mountain View, CA
Senior Software QA Engineer, 1999 – 2003
Contributions resulted in successful delivery of cross-platform application suites: Netscape (Navigator, Mail & Newsgroups, Composer, Instant Messenger) and AOL Communicator, as well as additional Mozilla-embedded applications such as Camino (formerly known as Chimera).
- Introduced innovative, well received features such as popup blocking, tabbed browsing and find as you type, by developing and implementing test suites.
- Resolved bugs and defects by closely collaborating with software developers during the design, debugging, QA and release phases.
- Spearheaded the QA accessibility effort which improved the usability and stability of Mozilla, Netscape, Camino and AOL Communicator.
- Prioritized and settled project related issues by promoting interaction with UI designers (usability studies and reviews), managers and marketing. This included advocating QA participation on Linux and Mac OS X platforms.
- Built and improved QA sections of the Mozilla website, such as the browser / editor front-end QA site.
- Motivated external contributors in the open source community to contribute code, documentation and testing for the Mozilla projects.

Contributed to three diverse projects:
- Shipped an improved, Y2k-compliant Compass server (search robot that catalogs websites) on NT and Solaris platforms by developing and executing tests.
- Enhanced the user experience for Netscape Application Builder (NAB), a Java development environment for the creation and deployment of server applications for the Netscape Application Server, by refining and running test suites.
- Improved the precision, performance and layout of Netcenter’s Finance Channel by implementing tests and interacting with key parties (development, producers and third party service providers) to resolve project issues.

QA Engineer, 1997
Shipped Windows and Macintosh releases of WorldView, a plug-in to view VRML content (Virtual Reality Modeling Language). Developed and implemented test suites in HTML, VRML and Java. Managed and reviewed test specifications and code from colleagues. Investigated, installed and configured a commercial bug database for the company.
